Jordan Howlette
Attorney Jordan D. Howlette established his practice following a five-year career as a trial attorney in the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice. He is intimately familiar with the procedures, strategies, and processes of litigating in federal court and with resolving multi-faceted civil disputes involving high-dollar amounts, complex statutory and regulatory provisions, and diverse parties from different jurisdictions. Now in private practice, Jordan represents clients in a wide variety of civil matters, including federal and state tax controversies, business disputes, workplace discrimination, constitutional torts, wage and hour litigation, personal injury, and post-judgment collection actions.
In December 2020, Jordan co-founded the Center for Advancement of Tax Equity (CFATE), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes tax education and outreach initiatives to improve the quality of life and economic conditions for individuals from underserved communities.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Jordan graduated cum laude from New England Law | Boston in 2016 and earned a Master's in Business Administration from American University's Kogod School of Business.
Jordan is a member of the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section, the Federal Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the American Legion, the NAACP, the Equality Chamber of Commerce in the DC Metro area, and the Board of Trustees for New England Law | Boston.
Jordan enjoys traveling to new destinations with his husband and, in his spare time, can be found playing tennis or fishing off the shoreline.
